Critical Conversations: Queer Open Mic

What's a conversation without OUR voice(s), without YOUR voice(s)? In the run-up to the Delhi Queer Pride march, Zubaan Books and Nigah want to turn the mic over to you, to narrate your stories. There are no themes and no rules, just a safe space, and the critical element of queer voices. We invite: the prepared and the extempore, the poems that rhyme and the ones that don't, the song, the one-act play, the rant, the love letter, the knock-knock jokes, bad puns and good ones - bring anything you're wearing on your sleeve, anything you want to share in any language or form. We'd love for you to join us at Oxford Bookstore, Connaught Place on Tuesday, 25th November from 6.30 to 8 PM. Spread the word and come with friends, lovers, family, and anyone else! You can always register on the spot if there’s slots available! / हमारी और आपकी आवाज़ों के बिना होने वाली गुफ़्तगू ही क्या? दिल्ली क़्वीयर प्राइड मार्च के इंतज़ार में, ज़ुबान बुक्स और निग़ाह आपकी कहानियाँ सुनने के लिए बेसब्री से माइक को आपके आगे करते हैं. इस मौके पर बोलने के लिए न तो कोई तय मुद्दे हैं और न ही कोई खास क़ायदे-क़ानून। कोशिश है एक ऐसी शाम बनाने की जो महफूज़ हो और जिसमे क्वीयर आवाज़ों के अहम तत्व सुने जा सकें। आमंत्रित हैं : कवितायें, अभिनय, कहानियाँ, गीत-गाने, वीडियो, फिल्म, नाटकबाज़ी, ग़ज़ल, शेख़ी, बड़बड़, शोक, व्यंग्य, गन्दी बातें, नज़्म, जो आप चाहें। सभी आयें और हिस्सा लें। हर एक भाषा आमंत्रित है। मंगलवार , 25 नवम्बर की शाम को 6.30 से 8 बजे तक को ऑक्सफ़ोर्ड बुकस्टोर, कनॉट प्लेस में हमारे साथ जुड़िये। ख़बर फैला दीजिये और अपने दोस्तोँ , परिवार , प्रेमियों या जिसके साथ आप चाहें, आइये और इस शाम का मज़ा उठाइये। कार्यक्रम में अपनी प्रस्तुति करने के लिए (या अपनी प्रस्तुति से जुडी किसी भी तकनीकी आवश्यकता के लिए) फेसबुक पर हमें मेसेज करें। आप meghnas@zubaanbooks.com या Nigah contact@nigah.org पर हमें लिख कर भी अपना नाम दर्ज करा सकते हैं।
